A lot of us have been trying to get ESA or DLA, here is an interesting article I found on BBC today. It is based in Scotland but I think I can say a lot of us have been affected.

Thanks for that Anne. The whole system is a failure in my eyes and is indeed insulting to the sick and disabled.

Thanks Anne,
Its disgusting the way so many sick people are treated. Lets hope the BBC continue their investigations.
I spoke to Customer Service Dept at Atos health about my own medical for ESA. In my case the doctor stated I could stand for 30 minutes (which is completely false) and walk 100 yards again completely wrong. The reality is I cannot stand for more than 3 minutes, and even a few steps of walking is very painfull for me. I did point out to them that my Rheumatologist, O.T, Physio and GP
state that what was stated on their medical report was incorrect and do you know what they said " well our doctor is a disability expert!!! -whereas my medical team are not, I have never heard so much rubbish in my life! I am currently going through the complaints procedure to Atos health but how far I will get through it I do not know
I really hope the BBC continues things and other organisations put pressure on the government to do something about the procedures which are failing so many sick people.

It is disgusting the way we are treated. I haven't worked since last January and haven't received a penny. Didn't even bother applying for ESA to be refused. I have never claimed benefits in my life and I am still paying tax and my own NI contributions while I am off.
I have applied for DLA but this has been a nightmare and I am waiting to hear about an appeal which I don't hold out much hope of winning.
My OH is so fed up with it he is thinking about starting to write some letters to MPs etc. Don't know if it will help?

The company who are complaining are the same company that lost me my job last year without even so much as talking to my GP. It can work both ways. I wanted to carry on working but they forced me out. When is the balance ever going to be right?0

Cathy,
It would be intresting to see what they would say if it was an ESA medical for DWP. Would they still say you are unfit for work? Or are they giving the answers the company wants to hear, DWP fir for work, private company unfit for work?
My OH has just wrote to our MSP son't know what if any response he will get.

Hi
Thanks for this. It is apparent that people are being treated in a disgraceful manner and we should make it known that we're not going to take it.
