Hi everyone,
You probably don't remember me, haven't been on in a while, I started uni in September and my RA is SO MUCH BETTER. I have been too busy to come on here - -
I think it really helps having something else to focus on, it's the first time since my RA started that it has settled a bit.
Anyhow, I have been on Prednislone since April 09. I had a bone density scan recently and my consultant wasn't impressed with the low score, so she asked me to drop my steroids to 7.5mg (I had been on between 15-20mg). As I did this I didn't notice any change in my arthritis (at all) so just kept dropping 2.5mg a week and stopped completely on Sunday. My face looked a little less puffy immedietely, but it is still really quite puffy and I am desperate for it to go down. I can't stand looking in the mkirror!!
Any idea how long it will take before I am back to normal?? Has anyone been on pred and come off, do you remember how long it took?
I am having an engagement party in 2 weeks and want to be able to have my picture taken, and getting married in the summer so really hope it's down by then!

Hi,
My computer was out of action for quite a while, and like I say I started uni in September and so am ridiculously busy!!
I am STILL breastfeeding the lo - he will be 2 in May, so it's getting a bit silly now, but he just won't wean off, no matter what I try. So still no mtx for me!! Much to my consultant's dismay!!
