I can only have showers as my OH will hurt himself if he tries to lift me out of the bath. Remember - slippery when wet!

Oh and now our shower is playing up so it will go freezing after a little while (great for arthritis sufferers). Might just give up and smell, its easier!

    Good luck with the bath.!!

For those who are struggling with the bath, this was the situation I was in,, due to my RA I just could not get in or out of the bath. For 18 months I had to use the shower. However, my O.T. got me something called a bath Buddy what it is is a chair that inflates (using the air compressor that is supplied with it) you slide on to the chair which inflates so it is level with the bath, then you press a button on the hand controls and it completley deflates allowing you to sit or lie in the bath, when you want to get out you just press another button and it inflates again.

If you ask your O.T. or Social Services you should all be eligible for one.

Not sure what I would do if I couldn't soak my knees in a hot bath; I do have to have OH helping me in and out and there are some days when I just can't do it, but for me it is sheer bliss.
