I am sorry, got to get this out of my system
HOpe you don't lose the will to live reading this.

I struggle to get shoes that I can be comfortable in that are in a size 9 and often have to resort to buying mens styles.

I buy my shoes mail order, and have always been well served, until recently.

Ordered some boots for winter dog walking (mens style cos have extra room) and had to wait 6 weeks for delivery so only got them two days before Christmas. Fools had put size 11 shoes in size 9 box  :x :x :x :x :(:(:(:(:(

Rang to organise return - that style no longer available in my size - so was persuaded to get a ladies style in size 9.

This replacement arrived ..... not enough room for my wide feet - had to arrange another return. Rang to arrange this to find out what was in stock ....... had to compromise again but didn't want to wait until end of March for the original style to be available. :(

They have just rung ..... they are not able to arrange the replacement because my parcel didn't arrive in time before they all sold out in that size      so what did I ***** well ring up for?!!!!

now got to wait until the end of March ........ and then I won't believe it will be the right shoe until I actually see them :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x

    Wonky,

I am glad that it isn't just me that seems to get this kind of service, it really does defy belief. Rotten that you cant get the shoes that you want though.

There is a new shoe shop opened beside me, it has come over from the states and it specialises in shoes for people who have problems. I think they do mail order as well.

if you are intrested PM me and I will get the details. I picked up some brochures for my Aunt & she was impressed plus they gave me a discount card for 1st purchase. I can pick these up for you if you like?

Wonky, you can't believe how much I sympathise with you - I've had a similar problem all my life, pretty much your problem reversed, I can't get shoes small enough! Plus, I have very painful heels at the back of the heel and cannot wear anything with a seam or tab at the back of the shoe. I live in clogs and sandals mostly.

So far this year I have bought 3 pairs of boots and not one pair can I wear comfortably for more than a few minutes - when I tried out the latest pair I came home with blisters on already painful heels......)*&!)%$!

thanks ...... and I am more human now honest :wink:

gla dI am not on my own, but it really galls me that I buy british and can't get the service

I have just come upstairs to (calmly I hope  ) email the company with my complaint, as I think they need to know that they are on the point of losing my custom, and if I go them hubby will too.

Interesting to see what they do!

Hubby has the opposite problem to me as he only takes size 7 so not always easy to get shoes he can wear - pity we can't swap ...... but he says I can keep my feet as his don't hurt :lol::lol:

    right ....... off I go ........ deep breath ........ count to 2000 ........

My dad took only a size 7, Wonky, and I take after him in build. I take a 2 if I can get them and a 3 if I can't.........but I prefer a 2 if I can get them wide enough.

This is like script for one of those plays where nothing really happens, and the dialogue goes round in circles, but then all the critics think it is full of meaning, write wonderful reviews, and the writer gets rich.

Could you be on the verge of a new career :?: :?: Then you'd have the money to have shoes made to measure :!:

hey Joan, I like your thinking !!!!

    Hi Wonky

Have you ever looked at QVC they sell wide fitting ladies shoes at times. They do look nice, as I no longer wear shoes or boots I'm afraid what they are like anymore.I am out of touch, but they do sell wide fitting shoes at times.

You have a 30 day money back trial. Don't know if that may be of use to you.

I get sent a small catologue that is sent to me, once again never tried the shoes, they are called Ch**S, I notice they sell large width shoes.

If you would like me to send you the catologue give me your address via pm and I will gladly send it to you to have a look out.

    love Trish xx

Thanks Trisher - I know the catalogue you mean .... I get it too .... but often the ladies ones are up to size 8 - I keep looking.

Also I know what you mean about QVC, but I dread trying new places .... may have no choice ..... but I have to be quite picky too .... but as you say the 30 day MBG does help.

    hugs to you (((())))

She most certainly has NOT gone without walks  as if .... the very thought of it

but I had to resort to walking her in wellies for a lot of the bad weather due to my boots having a split in the sole  so I get wet feet in the rain :x :x :x

wellies are not that comfy for longer walking ...... but have found a pair ofs turdy shoes which are ok now that the ice has gone.

waiting for reply to my email .... not holding breath.

gues what dropped onto the mat yesterday morning .... yup, another mail order catalogue from the firm I am already dealing with  :x :x :x :x :x went straight into bin :D:lol::lol::lol:
