Hi, I have a lovely 8 year old and supportive hubby, i've been self employed and the main breadwinner - due to me always being indepent - I was diagnosed with PsA in Sep last year and prescribed methotrexate which made me ill I tried injecting but could not function due to how sick it made me. I was suffering from accute fathuge just before Christmas and the nurse specialist gave me my second round of steroid injections which helped greatly because I was getting very depressed and they made me feel like my old self. They have now worn off and I have another appt with the consultant tomorrow to discuss my progress, the fatigue has got so bad I can't get out of bed in the morning, my hubby dresses our son, makes his packed lunch and takes him to school, I work for a few hours and have to stop by 2pm because I can't function anymore! I've read that fatigue can't be helped and I'm finding it all very hard to deal with, I don't feel like me any more and cry at the drop of a hat, ive been reading this foum for weeks now and thought there might be someone that identifies. X

    Hi Blueyes
do you take and other disease modifying drugs? if you had to stop the metho.
for me the tiredness has greatly improved by taking metho, i know you cant take this but there are lots of other drugs.
please dont lose hope, the injections worked so something else could do too :D
i have RA, by the way.

    Hi Blueyes

    A big Welcome from me.

We try to support one another on here, so ask questions, and peeps will be along to say hello too.

It is all very difficult at times. I have PA. But I also have 2 other types of Arthritis. I tend to get tired then get overtired.

I'm on a new lot of meds called Ciclosporin, as I cannot have most of the other meds. It is a drug not heard of by many on here.

Also we like to relax and have some fun, so you would always be welcome on CChat, we are qyite mad on there.

I hope to see you posting soon. Take Care

    Trish xx

Hi Blueyes, I echo Trisher, do come in and join us when you feel able to.
Fatigue seems to be a part in all arthritic conditions and we all get it to one degree or another..............know what it's like.

Hope your new meds kick in soon and you start to feel better.

    Hi Blueyes,

A welcome from me as well. Its a god place and they are a nice lot. The fatigue isn't so good, I find some days I am not so bad then others I do half hour to an hour and then have to rest up for a bit. I hope things will soon improve for you. Take care Cris
