    Hi Blebeard,
I suppose that depends on how soon you are seeing your rheumatologist anyway...can it wait till then?
If you are in too much pain you could at the very least I would have thought, aske your GP for an x-ray???
You can't go on in agony indefinitely can you - did he give you any advice?
    Good luck

    hiya,

i have extreamly bad pain in my feet and i have RA. I somtimes can not walk. I have had it were you have and on top of my foot and told my gp (i saw 2 in 24hours) that i had broken my foot i was in that much pain! I eventually got an xray and i was told i had damage so yes it is possible and is most likly tobe that opposed to a fracture.

i get lots of pain in my feet too, i saw my gp who is interested in gait then told my rheumy nurse . they think there might be a mechanical issue too so i have been referred to podietry as i might need insoles. my nurse told me they always refer you if you have foot probs so might be worth asking about that..
    hope things ease soon.

    Hi
This is wierd I have suffered with foot pain for years I saw the consultant who said it was plantar fiscitis I had steroid injections then saw a physio who said it wasnt classic plantar and he seemed to think that it was coming from my back, I was then referred to a podiatrist who said she couldnt help me and she said that she would refer to to a different kind of podiatrist, this being about 10 months ago and I havent heard anything from them, but in the meantime I have given up that they can help me, but, I have thought that maybe the physio was right and I have thought that its the way I walk due to OA in my hips, but now I am thinking that maybe I have arthur in my feet.

    Sorry I am rambling.

    Bluebeard,
Have you requested to have an X-ray? I was having so much pain in my left foot and kept telling my consultant but she just kept telling me it was to do with my Lupus. I could see it was changing shape and the pain was becoming more unbearable. I eventually was so fed up, I took off my sock and shoe off and forced her to look at it. She immediately sent me for X-rays and since have had surgery. It has improved the pain somewhat but I still have some. However, in comparison to the previous pain, I am glad I had the operation.

Im will now be receiving physio because I walk with a gait and been putting more pressure on right foot which has affected the achillies hill (sorry about spelling). Hope you can get yours sorted out.

    Take care

called in surgery today and they had posters about feet was looking and it showed some of the probs you can get some of the tendon probs cause spurs to grow on bones which lead to more probs they had some insoles which helped a lot of the probs but do not know who you would see to get them do not take no for an answer
