acupuncture on the nhs

is it available ?

going to give it a try for some of my pain, I have heard a lot of good things about it, when done by a professional

    Yes! About 6 sessions. Just have to get the gp to refer you. Unfortunately there is often a long waiting list so best get on the case quick!

    I believe some physios practice acupuncture too and sometimes combine the treatment.

    I dont mind waiting so will contact my gp

    in the meantime I am lucky enough to be able to afford it privately...so if I give it a go and its not helpful , at least I wont waste nhs resources

    Hi yes you can get it on the NHS, we have a GP in our practice who can provide acupuncture.

    Hi, the answer is yes.
    Im waiting for a course through the pain clinic.
    Its a 6wk course & if it helps then i can go on to top ups. I cant remember how long between the top ups are now.
