Hi i am just back from hospital. Last visit my bloods had 3 different reading. I went to doc after christmas and they found blood pressure high and today it is high104 over 86. I have been advised to have my meds every other day as this will help reduce the blood presure failing that i might have to go on blood presure meds if this dont work. Anyone else had this happen to them?
thanks from joanne
Joanne

there was a thread asking about this just the other day - will try and bump it up for you if I can find it quickly.

I was already on BP treatment so was watching my b carefully.
I woudl have thought that as high BP is treatable it would be worth asking if they are going to keep you on the Lef for a while and see if things settle down.

I have to say that your BP reading didn't seem to be high in comparison to what mine is even on treatment, but the 'normals' do vary depending on age & other factors. (to be honest I would be absolutely thrilled if mine was as low as yours at the mo  )

hope you get something sorted soon. But don't worry about it - that is more likely to send your BP up!!!! maybe try the relaxation tapes/cd's and see if they help

    Hi Joanne,

Again I can't help you too much except I suffer from low bp (normally) its in the 105-110/60-70 range. I have 2 totally different readings this week as an experiment they do both arms........ Mine are so out of sync its like 2 different people. They put me on betta blockers for a while and that took it so low I flaked out every time I stood up. Its not too bad a reading you got there. The 84 could do with being bit lower I guess but the top needs to go up a bit really. Its like you have an imbalance with your tablets......... See what it does now your back to taking them like this but get it checked, and maybe do both arms...... I only say this cus mine are so very different and well how do you feel? Light headed and flaky is usually low and headaches, palpitations etc normally is high..... I think  Anyway a ((( ))) and a hope it will soon sort its self back out. Luv Cris xx

Hi, I am on Leflunomide. I already had High BP which was controlled by BP meds when I was put on Leflunomide. Its increased by BP further so now they have increased my BP meds as Leflunomide in combination with MTX is the only thing that has controlled by RA (well I should say controlled it to an extent, its better than when I was on other RA meds but its still not right)
