Hi, I started Embrel just before Xmas and have now had 5 injections (1 a week). So far I am still on Prednisolone 20mg daily and I'm taking Co Codamol 30/5oo plus Diclofenac 50mg three times a day. I am wondering if anyone else on here is taking anything like these kind of doses ? Before I started people said Embrel would get to work within 2 weeks, it doesn't seem to be.
Am I being too impatient ? If anyone is taking this perhaps you could give me your thoughts?
Take care, Donna Sally.

    Hi sally,

I started enbrel in October and I am on prednisolone, dihydrocodeine, paracetamol, mtx, sulphasalazine and indomethacin. The enbrel does not seem to be working for me, I phoned rheumy last week who said they will not consider any changes until I have had enbrel for 16 weeks, protocol. You may need to give it a bit longer, it's early days for you and I know that some people have been on it for 10 weeks for it to start working.

I hope it does work for you as it can be great if it does.

    Hiya,

I've been on Enbrel for 12 weeks now and so far, not really feeling a change. I am on Diclo and co-codamol too. Was hoping to reduce, but oh well.

I have a rheumy appt Monday and they'll probably want me to keep at it a bit longer which I'm willing to do.

But if I don't feel something soon, I'll be happy to get off it. I feel more fatigue than ever, and have been on antibiotics twice now to fight chest infections. God only know what would happen if the flu or something!

I hope it kicks in for you soon!

    Hi there,

I am also on Enbrel and it took 12 weeks for it to start to make a difference - now after a year I wouldn't be without it!!

    Good luck!!

Hello, i am due to start Emberl in the next few weeks, i am on mtx and prednisolone. I was hopeing it was going to live up the being THE MIRACLE DRUG, but am not so sure now.

Feel quite apprehensive, i am presuming it takes about 3 months to work, if its going to????? :?

Will keep my very swollen fingers crossed for everybody embarking on the injection route

    Take care Gill x x
