blimey that makes me angry

in a a lot of pain today

got told that I probably dont have any fractures...but " as above "

said that a bone scan can be done quickly but a better thing would be a mri...but that could be six weeks ?

so I basically could have a fracture ...or maybe not ...and we can give you an xray.....but you cant have one for 6 weeks

so if I go out gently walking over next 6 weeks I could be walking on a stress fracture

but maybe not ?

they dont make this easy do they ?

Aww, I'm sorry. :? My advice would be to go to A&E and just stick out the 4 hour wait. It's better than waiting 6 weeks, which is ridiculous! Or do you have a walk-in clinic near to you? The waiting times tend to be a bit shorter.

    You what!!!!???
You might have a fracture and you are not having an xray???
Have it - my goodness i am shocked

I think i'd go with those who say get down to a&e and wait for one. You could do serious damage.
In the meantime do takle it steady.

    Hi

That is awful... I didnt know i had arthritis at the time but i suddenly got very bad pains in my lower back and could hardly move whilst i was at work,(been having some pain and aches for a while) i had intended to go home and try to see my Gp but my husband insisted on taking me to A&E and although we were there for 12 hours it was worth the wait because within 1 week I had an xray, MRI scan and seen 3 consultants :D well my diagnosis was Arthritis of my spine which was a shock as it was the last thing i had expected them to tell me! but the NHS were brilliant with me and I did apologise as i felt I had wasted their time but they said I did the right thing in going to A&E, sorry this is abit long but I would say go to A&E and hopefully you will get an xray and MRI scan as quickly as I did

I wish you well and please dont leave it, do what I did.....straight to A&E

I agree with this, in early July this year I suddenly got a completely unexplained severe pain at the top of my leg...........hubby more or less threw me in the car and took me to A & E. As it was a Sunday evening around 6pm we had only a two hour wait and it was worth it. Within 24 hours I had been diagnosed as having a DVT just above my knee - I will always be grateful to hubby for taking me seriously.
