Morning everyone.

Well after having two sleepless nights with the pain and a crawling feeling in both legs Last night i tryed deep heat 1st applied after bath then when i was in bed.

I slept ALL night whayyyyy heyyyy she says to her self..

This morning woke up feeling dreadfull prob due to sleeping as my body is so not use to having more than 3 hrs at a time,

Dont know if i slept cause the Deep heat or where my body was just so exhusted.

Anyway the motto here i think is dose anyone else use deep heat cream and dose it work or is it just my mind tricking me cause i tryed something new?

Hope everyone has a pain free day and a very good weekend XXXXX

well could not tell you but so glad you got some much needed sleep. you will have to try again to see if it was the deep heat or not but if it was at least you will know what to do in future

    Hi rosyred,

Glad that deep heat worked for you hun and that you got a good night sleep.

I wish I could use it as the one time I used deep heat on my knee it swelled like a balloon and then could not walk. If you come across any other creams that work, I would like to try them.

    Take care

    Hello Rosyred,

I'm a massive fan of Deep Heat, I think it's the smell and the cosy feeling it gives you. Can't really say that it has any deep down effect but love it just the same :D

I've tried things like the Ibuprofen and Voltarol gells and might just as well have used axel grease for all the relief they offered.

Shortly, when hubby's finished his bits and bobs of paperwork he's going to help me have a bath then there's no points for guessing what I'll reach for...........

Oh there's another thing that's of great soothing help and that's Olbas Oil, have you tried it?

Keep up the good work :D

I use capsicum cream same stuff really and yes it does work but sometimes I get hot knees around 3 in the morning so it sometimes wakes me up, but it really kicks **** where the night pain is concerend.

chile 168 I can suggest one for you that should be well tollereated. Its called `Difflam' cream and it dosnt use capscum(chilli peper) but has an antiflamitor built in that people with Astmatical problems can use - I know, as I have used this and have Astema. But it is prescription only and about 5 times the price of diclafenic/volerol but tough! You had an adverse reaction to that one. Its not one that the GP's like us to know about. But it is very ecconomical and a little goes along way. Its good too! Heather xx :D

I use Deep Heat spray along with Ibuprofen gel when I go to bed and find that it does help a bit. Be careful when using after a bath or shower as I did once......... never again. The areas I sprayed on went VERY red (much more than normal) and the heat that came off my skin could have easily warmed a room of people! On a serious note though it was very uncomfortable and I had to re-wash the areas to help calm it down.

    I'll second that.
There is a warning in the leaflet that says; If you have sensative skin & use it in hot weather or after a bath it can cause temporary skin redness or a burning sensation.
I find it helps as does the olbas oil & i love the smell too.
