The exercises I was given by the physio for stiffness in the neck were:

move the head up and down
move the head from side to side
move the head to the right to "touch" the shoulder with your ear and vice versa

Never rotate the head. I did this for years, but she put me right on that. :)

I do these three exercises nearly every day. In fact I do body stretches every day, I am positive that is what keeps me going. I am sorry I do not know of a link for you.

The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.

If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.

hi, I did a pain management course a number of years ago and the stretches were a mix of yoga, pilates and sport stretches. Elna's told you the neck ones and the theory goes that you should stretch every muscle in your body equally. It worked for me, my neck was terrible and now no prob at all. You could ask the physio department at your hospital if they can send you some or look for 'pain management stretches' on google. It's better if you are taught them though so maybe get a referral from your GP?

    hope they help!
Remember, start of holding them for a few seconds and build up to 30 secs over couple of weeks. That way you won't make things worse.
