Travel Insurance

Hiya,

My darling friend has booked me/my partner & my best mate/her partner a 5 day break to britney in a caravan, its all very exciting but im unsure about travel insurace?

Itinery is

June 2010 - 1 day in paris, travel down to britney over night for 5 days and then back up to the ferry to the UK.

Ive not had to get travel insurance since having RA it was difficult to get it with a heart condition. Any recomendations?

    I've used Atlas insurance, they will cover medical stuff but I've never had to use them whilst away so I can't comment on that. But the prices are reasonable.

    I use Intune,on line service, declare RA and it's all I need and reasonable.However, have not had to make a claim.

    When in France you can use their version of the NHS for free or a small charge. You should still get travel insurance as well in case of emergencies like having to be brought home. Insurance is a lot cheaper if its just for Europe because it's just a sort of back-up to their NHS system which you will be expected to use.
    We got a policy for the whole family for a year for around £30, just search online.
    You DO need to tell them about any existing medical conditions as if you don't and they find out the whole policy is invalid.

    Thanks all, i shall have a look at those companies. I tried one last night and they wanted £75 i think its because im having tests on my heart .. joys of health insurance! xx
