knee alignment surgery

Hi
Had orhtopaedic appointment to day and have basically been told that ~I will need knee alignemnt surgery.
Has anyone had this or know any information??
I have read up a little on the web but was hoping for some first hand advice / opinions.

    Hi Bailey

    Have not heard of that before so I had a quick google too!. Sounds positive though. Surely if you go down this route you will be given lots of information and be able to ask any questions.

    Let's hope that now I have bumped this thread up, someone may read it and be able to help you.

    I hope you are not in too much pain and discomfort at this time.

    have not had it but had consultant in shop where i work a while back wont go into the whys and where for he said they tend to do this now so the joints work properly again and reduces pain. better than getting to the stage where you need replacement knee and suposed to be very good good luck

    Hi thanks both for that.
    I had never heard of it before yesterday. from what i have read online it sounds quite promising as a lot of sports people have this and even return to sport afterwards. Long term this is my wish but would be quite happy to be able to walk properly.
