Hi all - Well, to update you all, my rheumy called me yesterday and i had a long chat with him.

I told him that i was confused etc and he said that although all my joints were inflamed and i had limited movement in my toe that at the moment it was to early to tell if it is RA - He said that sometimes these things can flare up and be caused by a virus etc and disapear after a few months - He said only time will tell if it is going to develop.

I'm seeing him again on the 4th June and he said to keep a diary of things between now and then and if i'm worried about anything at all then to call him and he will always be happy to talk to me. He said that he has written to my GP and to make an appointment with him to so i can get support from him as well.

I have to say he was really easy to talk to and didn't rush me or make me feel silly. Spoke about pain releif and what to do on bad days etc. Also told me what to look for in the way of things getting worse and that if it happened to contact him straight away and he would see me.

So all in all really pleased with how it went. I also want to say a big thank you to all you guys for your support and advice - THANK YOU!!!!!

Karen

Thanks everyone!... Yes i do feel more in control of this now and feel really confident in my Rheumy now as well. I'm going to see my GP next week to have a chat with him too as he suggested so feeling really posative. If this does develop into RA then at least i know i have a good support team around me and in the mean time i feel confident in managing it.

Off out for the day shopping with my step daughter so will probably suffer tomorrow!
