Dear Hileena :)

Just wanted to start the ball rolling with passing on my very best wishes to you for your forthcoming op.

There seem to be quite a few hip and knee ops going on at the moment. We do seem to be setting quite a trend :wink: Rather we did not have to, but needs must. :)

At least you know that you can ask away on here and we will help, support and answer any questions that you may have, both now and afterwards.

Don't even think about the other hip operation at the mo, concentrate on this one and getting fit and well. The second time around may well be a little different but you will be more familiar with it all.

Keep positive and do as you are told by "those that know", it goes a long way in helping with recovery. :wink::)

    I know you have been waiting a while and reading all the posts about THR. I really hope it goes smoothly for you and you are home soon.

    My new hip is now just over 8 weeks old and already I am feeling the benefits.

    Please remember to post and let us know how you have got on - plus ask any questions you have after!

    My hip is 6 months old on Thursday ... it's gone so fast and dont regret it at all!

    Thank you all for your good wishes....its now 10.05pm Got to be at hospital at 7am tomorrow morning.....Sorry I missed this.....I've just put another one in LOL....Not been on line much.
    I've ordered a V shaped pillow from that site LOL a*a*o* should be here when i get home. If you remember that was my main worry....sleeping on my back because I have bad sinus problems...All the OT equipment has arrived.....including some things I had to ask for but if you dont ask you dont get. I saw a trolly when she was showing me around their makeshift kitchen.....I said...Oh I would like one of those.....do you need it she said? Yes...my husband works and there are only the 2 of us and it's not easy to make a cup of coffee and bring it back when you have 2 crutches LOL....OK I'll order you one she said.I love my bath but accept that for a while it will have to be a shower and she said just leave your crutches outside and go in.....when we were going round her bathroom in the hospital...I said Oh whats that? knowing perfectly weel what it was....a shower stool, would you like me to order you one? Yes please. So there isnt much more I can do except get off line and try to sleep for the little time that is left.
