Feel really uncomfy after eating?

Only had soup for lunch but still feeling uncomfortably full, and have felt like this after eating, for a few days now.
I've just gone up to 4 sulpha daily - could this have anything to do with it? I also take celebrex and omeprazole. Haven't suffered any other side-effects from the sulpha apart from fleeting nausea.
Can't wait for 12-yr old son to come home and teach me how to make myself burp - would feel so much better for it!

Hiya Lynn,
Helium balloon, ready to pop - that's exactly how I feel!
Will go have another gander at the sulpha leaflet.....and raid the kid's fizzy pop!
So annoying, just bought some yummy little cakes and my mind is saying 'have one, have one' and my stomach is saying 'mercy, no!'.

Hi Lois,
Oh I get the same thing..... Got it now as well. I actually think its he omeprazole ........ I find its after I taken it ....... before I take the sulfa and the rest of the stuff and it is the cheapest and actually i am thinking of seeing a gp and see if i can go back on the other stuff cus it doesn't happen then. Th other stuff is something like Rasprosole and well for me its the better one, but far more expensive. I really hop it stops for you soon and sending you a ((( ))) Cris x0 -
Hi Chris,
Sorry to hear it's happening for you, but reassuring to know that I'm not the only one!
I think I'll call my GP tomorrow and see what they say. Had another small bowl of soup for tea and still feel the need to be popped!

A litre of fizzy pop, drink it very quickly, and just go with the flow!!!!
Seriously, it's not pleasant, is it? You've been on the celebrex and omeprazole for a while now, haven't you Lois? Maybe it is the sulpha - someone else might be able to help with that, but I know last year when the doc gave me omeprazole,
it just bloated me right up - I felt like a helium balloon ready for take off!!!! I stopped taking it, and felt fine.
I always thought that with celebrex and the like, the stomach protectors weren't as necessary as with the NSAIDs, because they are gentler on the stomach? Anyway, that's beside the point. Have you checked on the sulpha info leaflet, to see if this is a side effect, Lois?
Sorry I can't be much help - other than the burping lesson!!! Just hope you feel better soon.
Love, Lynn xxxx
Hi Lynn , I too have been trying to work out what was causing a bloated full up feelling and like you, pinned it down to omeprazole.
I ask myself at times is it my imagination when those side-effects occur, good to have a comparison.
Best wishes
