    Hi Ali

Your body is telling you to rest ....make sure you do. What meds are you on? I'm very dopey first thing in the morning and it's because of my night-time amytriptilines. It's a good job I don't have to go to work in the mornings.

    Hope you are ok otherwise.

I seem to suffer acute tiredness at this time of the year when it is really cold. Then I just hibernate as much as possible until spring.

    Hi Alli

Good to hear from you even if it is not sooo good news, if you are very tired and sleeping for hours.

It could well be your change in lifestyle. I expect you remember well, the times, when you could not sleep and were up half the night playing games on FB to keep your sanity.

It would be so good if your body could find a happy medium, wouldn't it?

I do hope that happens soon,

    Luv and hugs

Hi Rosy, it seems that quite a few of us are getting this awful fatigue and tiredness. I've just had to give in and spend most the the last several days more in bed asleep than out of it.

I'm sure the weather is at least partly to blame..............soooooo cold and that in itself is tiring.

    Let's hope for better weather.

    Hi Rosy!
good to see you posting again.......!

Fatigue does seem to be worse just now doesn't it? I feel just as tired when I get up in the morning as I did when I went to bed....and it is annoying that I can hardly keep my eyes open if I sit down for more than 20minutes!

Glad you are getting about on your scoota!! Irisx

    Hello All and hibernators.

It really does seem to have gone back into the depths of winter again doesn'it?
I feel sorry for all of you who are worse off than me.

I think I can say that I do suffer from extreme fatigue, but I try to fight it because I am always worried about not sleeping at night if I take the odd hour during the day. I push myself to stay awake.
Yesterday I was out all day, got home at six, bathed and went straight to bed. I have just slept round the clock.

Another reason why I make myself stay awake is because I find it makes me feel nauseous when I wake up. I feel worse.
    Does anyone else find this?

Yes Joy, I know exactly what you mean!
I try too not to sleep during the day but fatigue usually catches up with me around tea time....it's a horrible heavy headed feeling and I never feel refreshed when I waken up after a 'nap'; quite the opposite in fact. wonder if it's bad to cat nap? iris x

    Dear Iris

I am one of the lucky ones that can have half an hours sleep, not in a chair, but lying on the bed and I feel refreshed. My husband can nod off in the chair in the day/evening and feel ok but if he lays on the bed, like I do, he would feel "horrid". It is interesting to read how some peeps are helped by a sleep in the day and others not at all.

As I am not sleeping too well at night, like Joy, I try to stay awake in the day lately.

My mum too, could always go for a half an hour sleep after lunch and she never needed to put an alarm clock on (unlike me, to be on the safe side), her inner clock always gave her 30 minutes only!!

    Love

Joy, what I feel is not fightable. It's a question of lie down or fall down. I find fighting it makes it worse as I then get beyond sleep and the whole thing escalates.
When I do nap in the day it is always beneficial - I haven't noticed any nausea. Staying in bed for more than a few hours is not an option as I get too stiff and in too much pain from being in the same position - I have to get up and move about from time to time.
