Hoe this is not a daft question but can you have psoriatic and rheumatoid arthritis.
!! years ago I was diagnosed Erosive Seropositive RA.
Just recently I have noticed patches on the skin of lower legs and arms and am convinced it is psorisis (seen the effect on others). Does that mean that as I have RA and now psorisis I could have PA as well. Am going to make an appointment to see Dr. next week - will post outcome.
Thanks for any info.

Hi Jane,
I have PsA and OA. I don't know if you can have RA and PsA together though, sorry.
Maybe others on the forum will know, but if not then why not post your question to the helpline in the morning? .... we now all want to know the answer!
good luck with your doc appointment too!

I have PA and RA and also OA. I can now, at last differentiate between the three.
It's nice thinking that, at last, I know how to help myself through the problems that these dx bring me and it's also satisfying to know that I have, at last, got my medication sorted.

Re my first post I have spoken to a lovely lady on the Help Line and she confirmed that you can have several type of arthritis. She thinks that as I have already got RA there is a strong chance that it will turn out that I can add PA to the list (lucky me!!!)
Have got Dr app. on Friday so will keep you posted.
She also thought it likely that as I am on lower MTX (12.5 compared with normal of 20) due to blood pressure problems with Leflunomide , this allowed the psoriatic to slip in under the radar. I shall be very happy when they finally get meds, sorted since I have luched along for about 14 months since stomach ulcer caused by Meloxicam endedn any anti inflamation drugs - and that was when it all went pear shaped.
