I went to see my Rheumy 2 weeks ago....
they xrayed my hands= no bone damage (just swollen knukcles) That make my fingers hard to move...
Back= All clear
Neck= is a mess, narrow nerve channel and nearly all but two disks being pinched...

He has not told me what i have got...even though i gave them 5 blood samples. Says ive got to go back in two months....with another 3 blood samples

I've managed to get my hands working, after not bothering for a long time....as i was too sad....and didnt see the point.

I still have no idea what i have....and docs dont want to tell me...but i know its spreading whatever it is.....

Anyone have any ideas what i can do to get a proper diagnosis?

Love and light to all
A

    There have been several threads on this point recently, KingA.

    In my case she can't tell me what I have because she doesn't know herself. The examinations she has done, and the symptoms I can currently report together with results of many tests - blood, nerve and muscle - simply don't give a specific indication of which type of arther I have. It could be RA, PsA, Lupus or a mixture of any of those three and/or possibly other allied syndromes or conditions.
    All she can tell me at the moment is that I have an 'inflammatory arthritis condition'.

    It is perhaps annoying that some definite answer can't be given, but in practical fact all those conditions are treated in much the same way, so whichever one it is I am on the right medication for it! Each time I see her I hope that there will be some indication to tell me exactly what it is - perhaps I just like things tidy - but I can see that I am being given good care and attention which is really all that matters.......not the labels!

    Hope this helps, KingA....don't be downcast about it.

    Wow, what a wonderful reply. Thank you :D

    Yes, i believe they are having the same prob with me...and maybe there is no black and white answer. I will have to be a patient patient. :shock: .... I just wish i knew so i could make plans for the future. I suppose it will have to be a day at a time for now...

    Thankyou.... Good care and not the labels is what matters. Yes i tend to agree now.
