Hello

http://www.silenthip.com/

I do hope this link works. :? I'm not so good on the computer stuff.

A colleague told me recently that this consultant Jon Conway has been on our local news. He is doing these locally. There isn't too much information on the link but wonder if anyone else has heard of this or if it has been in the newsletters?

It certainly sounds like it has potential for those young peeps in their 20's or 30's, so I just thought I would mention it.

Chris (who is in the right place, but perhaps not young enough!!)

    Hello,
I know I'm showing my ignorance, but why call it 'silent'? Are the usual sort noisy??? I've seen quite a few people at work who have had new hips and not noticed any noise. I agree it does look like a microphone, that was my first thought!!

It does sound like a good idea for young people in particular, though.

    Love Sue

    Hi Sue,

I don't know if hips are the same or if it's just me but my knee replacements clunk-click somedays  - it's not a sound heard outside the body, but it's definitely there.

    Luv Legs :D

Yes, my new hip (ceramic in ceramic) clicks but the my joints have all always made horrible crunching & clicking noises all my life! Not sure if this can be avoided as, surely, this is perfectly natural.
