Right who did this song and what’s the title of it then you lot. :?:
He calls me Charlie Mason
A stargazer am I
It seems that I was born
To chart the evening sky
They'd cut me out for baking bread
But I had other dreams instead
This baker's boy from the west country
Would join the Royal Society...
By heck it's slow on hear again today!?.
He calls me Charlie Mason
A stargazer am I
It seems that I was born
To chart the evening sky
They'd cut me out for baking bread
But I had other dreams instead
This baker's boy from the west country
Would join the Royal Society...
By heck it's slow on hear again today!?.

Sailing to Philadelphia by Mark Knopfler.
We Are Sailing To Philadelphia
A World Away From The Coaly Tyne
Sailing To Philadelphia
To Draw The Line
The Mason-Dixon Line
I have met Mark Knopfler, and he is lovely :!:0 -
Ooops!! How embarrassing mell
Well done Joan, I should have known that one. Have most of Dire Straits stuff and saw Mark Knopfler in Manchester eons ago.

Bugger bum flip!, well done Joan, I love this song, it's another one I came across just once and it stuck in my mind only to resurface years latter and I owndered who did it, I have a photographic memory for lyrics which sometimes can be a curse.
Right heres one more.
Now I really love this song, it's one of my top 5 of all time, gives me goose bumps when I play it, it's probably an easy one but lets see shall we. So here goes, name the song the singer and the album it came from. :?:
Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery;
None but ourselves can free our minds.
Have no fear for atomic energy,
'Cause none of them can stop the time.
How long shall they kill our prophets,
While we stand aside and look? Ooh!
Some say it's just a part of it:
We've got to fulfil de book.0 -

Isn't this Redemption Song - Bob Marley?
Didn't we have this one a while back - maybe I dreamt it
Love Bob Marley - takes me back a few years

Your right, bugger I have dementia as well as OA!.0 -
Right one last go at stumping you all, who sang this and what's the song.
Telephone exchanges click while there's nobody there
The Martians could land in the carpark and no one would care
Close-circuit cameras shoot the same video every day
And the stars of these films neither die nor get killed
Just survive constant action replay0 -

Hi
When I was at Glasgow School of Art in the 80's Del Amitri used to use the main hall in the student union as a practice venue, we used to see Justin and the boys quite regularly. It all seems so long ago now!!! Sigh......
