lump on finger

Hi
I have "mild OA" as my GP said in my lower spine, I am waiting to hear results of an x-ray on my C3 top of spine.
i now have pain in one of my fingers which appears swollen as it is larger compared to my other fingers. I also have a hard lump on the side of my knuckle, I was wondering if anyone could tell me what it might be, I sometimes get pain in my wrist with a small swelling at the side of my wrist but that isn't too painful. I dont like to bother GP because as i have seen 2 previously and neither of them seemed interested, didnt even get any pain relief. sorry to bother you

Hello Marg and thanks for your posting. This must be quite frustrating for you right now, have neither of your doctors been interested in looking at your hand? It is difficult for us to help diagnose and so it would be best to get this confirmed by your doctor, is there maybe a third doctor that you can see? You shouldn’t be concerned about bothering the doctor, as your symptoms have changed, you would need to know what is going on so that at least you can help manage it.
