Hi Lynn,
Good for you...... the spare money...... how about a few Hardwicks
Hey its just the time things take to dry out I think.... I had a mobile phone jump out into a bucket of water from my top pocket..... Didn't bin that but did get another and after quite some time it worked again and still does though it can have off days
Now I am just waiting for a small big torch to do the same........ The sheep threw that in a bucket cus they said they wanted to conduct and experiment..........

i remember you posted about drowning your laptop a few months back but never asked why (sorry!!!!!)
I am so glad it works again now it has had a little rest.
One of our laptops would not start for months then when my friend the computer man came round(he is a regular feature in our house )he got it to start just like that.Looked at us like we were mad.
We have had one laptop thrown out of the window and sometimes it gives up the ghost, comp man takes it away and it is as good as new.
Take care Lynn and enjoy the wonders of modern technology...

Hi Lynn,
As yet their experiment has just been to see how much a fool will take something apart and try and dry it Its a big small one, I got a huge one that is brilliant for about 20 mins..... Then on charge for a day, the one they dunked worked for about an hour but only 5,000,000candle power and then my 'best' one is 3,000,000 but last continuously 4 hrs..... they did throw that one as well but I soldered up the broken wires..... a mate now has it to repair it better then I did
They are a rare breed I think? I know you would get quite a few of my kind to a mother bored..... Not sure about the rare ones.......
Right I shall get the trailer on, grab a couple of balaclavas and a bucket of sheep nuts and see you in ten........
Love and a ((( ))) Cris who must get back out to clean up slipper boys debris...... more beans..... and he seems to have a lot of green on him as well  xx0 -
Hi Lynn,
It was a little person involved. He had been watching peeps destroy things on you tube and decided it looked like fun.

Best wishes

Most spillages are only over the keyboard and it is not very often that the rest of the computer suffers damage.
Firstly, as soon as the laptop gets the spillage on it, unplug the power supply if plugged in and remove the battery. Leave the laptop open for several days for it to dry out properly, don't put it on a heater, but just somewhere warm.
After that it may be alright again, but if the keyboard plays up then replace it. I was surprised how easy it is to change most laptop keyboards. Look up how to change it on Youtube.com, search on there for make, model and 'change keyboard'. Once you have obtained a new keyboard, (suggest from well known auction site about £20), then this is usually a 15 minute task. Replace battery, recharge and job done.
