Rash!

Have been aware of a couple of pigmentation spots on my face over last couple of days, but just realised that they're all over me!
They're like freckles and not at all itchy or raised.
Anyone else had anything similar whilst taking Sulpha? Am anxiously waiting for duty doc to return my call!

Hi,
I think you should see you'r GP or nurse. It could be lots of things, an allergy, a virus but, whatever, I'd get some expert advice. Try not to worry, if it is medication, I expect it can be changed. Have you used any new products like washing powder or moisteriser?
Hope you soon find out and become spot free,Love Sue

Hi Sue,
They still haven't called me back, grrrrr!
It does say on the bottle something about sensitivity to sun, and the sun has actually shone past couple of days (and probably for the first time since I started the sulpha!). Just wondering if this has caused a pigmentation problem?
If I don't hear from them, I'll probably give the sulpha a miss tonight.

Hi
sounds like the sulpha, give it a miss till u speak to rheumy. U can always start the tabs after the all clear. I had a bad reaction when I went on holiday one year, I was only in the sun for an hour! Put on some sun lotion if u go out again, well it's been sunny hasn't it?

I have had this on my cheeks and arms during summers. The more I sat in the sun the more pronounced they were.
I just put it down to one of those things......

She called me back!
Said that as I have no other side effects, just to make a routine appointment and keep taking the sulpha.
Good to know I'm not alone in having this happen! Many thanks.

Hi,
I hope you can soon get sorted, these things are always a worry. I get heat rash from the sun, but I don't think it's shone hard enough for that at the moment!!!

That's what's worrying me too!
If it happens in chilly March, what will I be like in the summer???
And why would I get these spots all over when it was just my face exposed....and I always wear moisturiser with spf15 in it? Weird!
Will let you know what the GP has to say.

Hi Lois
Sorry I sounded so flippant.
I have pointed these out in the past to my Nurse and she didnt seem worried. They are quite noticeable blotches on my arms and face, even now I can see them and havent been out in the sunshine for some time.Let us know how you get on.
Obviously you should always keep an eye on any skin changes. It is just so many side effects we have to deal with I get about fed up with it all,
Take care
