Hi,
Well, I've had a busy week! I saw the hand specialist on 'Tuesday, had x-rays on my feet and shoulders on Wednesday and today, I've seen the Physio. Next week is Neuro for the first time on Monday and the feet people on Thursday!!! Is their no end to the exitement!
The physio gave me some exercises for my shoulders and discharged me until I have seen the neuro consultant, as they have their own people who look after you if it is a neuro problem. If not, I'm to ask to go back to her and she wants me to do some hydrotherapy and palates. She will order the hydotherapy and I have to see about palattes myself.
To be honest, I am worried about Monday's visit to the neuro clinic, as I am a bit scared of some of the things I know they could come up with, although I know that its silly to worry at the moment and hopefully, things will be OK. The hand clinic also want a neurological opinion about whether to operate further up my arms to release the nerves that are trapped. I think thats all, I've got to the stage of being so tired, with the travelling and waiting about.
Love Sue

Hi Sue, Nobody seems to have replied to your posting, I can see you have a lot on your plate. Lots of areas where you are getting pain and lots of different people to see, One visit to a consultant is bad enough, no wonder you are tired and worried. Nevermind try to look beyond it and hope that the outcome will be good, then treat yourself to something nice eh? Good luck and take care

Hello,
Thank you all for the kind messages. I'm feeling a bit up and down, today I've felt better than yesterday, I've got less swelling and the pain isn't too bad at the moment.
It's frustrating when I drop things, especially when I use my left hand I sometimes feel like throughing things out the window :!:  So far, nothings been thrown out yet!!!
I've got the weekend off now, so I'm not going to do much.
Thanks for all the good wishes, I know you've all been through things like this, and I also know that at least, I'm lucky to be taken seriously by the docs.

You really get put through the mill dont you. I have just asked for hydrotherapy too and am waiting for that to be sorted. That is one of the better side effects of OA and R.A .and other arthurs.
Pilates is a lot of getting down on the floor which could be difficult but as it has been suggested I suppose youd better look into it.
Try not to worry about Mondays visit to Neuro clinic. There could be some solution for your trapped nerves that would give you relief from pain but I understand how fed up you are with all these different clinics and appointments. It requires a lot of effort and time.
Take care Sue,
Best wishes

Hello Sue
Although tiring, at least you are getting some answers, there is a lot to take in too. I think the neurologist must be the most anxious one for you. I think I will be going down the same road eventually.
The tingling and pain in my left hand has come back with a vengeance despite the chiropractor sessions. My neck is a mess which doesn't help either.
I've tried to keep of the computer for awhile to see ifthat will help, not really.
Keep your chin up. You are getting there. For myself I just keep thinking that this is as good as it gets
Try and get as much rest as you can and try not to worry.
hugs from
