Hi, got some rails put up today, one in the bath and other up the steps outside and they are brilliant! Just had a bath and could pull myself up much easier. Also key turners are fantastic - ugly and huge but work fantastically well. Little things that have driving me mad are suddenly much easier. Got my doors all checked over, oil and planed down too. Ergonomic knife very good too - much better than I thought it would be. Am going to ask for ergonomic gardening tools for birthdays and xmas - yeah, yeah a long wait esp since my birthday is in December but I like to store up things for my family to buy me :P

    Hi Sally

That's good to hear and I'm glad you are so pleased with things.
There seem to be several threads on these OT items at the moment which is a revelation to me, I didn't know many of these things existed. :? It is good to know that they can help people to stay as independent as possible, so thanks for this post none of us know just how long it will be before we can benefit ourselves.
    take care

    Hi Sally,

Glad you got the things to help. I like the idea of things to help you get out of a bath cus I got stuck for a bit and I must remember to ask for an OT referral next time I see a consultant. You dg ok? Cris x

hi everyone, thanks! Yes, it is making a huge difference, such small things can really help. Wish I'd asked for an assessment months ago but was hoping I would get better :( . Independence is everything really.

Hi Cris, I'm fine thanks for asking. Not too bad at all but am postponing reducing steroids this week as want to get out in the garden! Doesn't the sunshine make a difference?
    How are you?
