Hello everyone,
I have this new ache. It's when I walk, at the tops of my legs, sort of where the leg joins the bum, sort of inside. Yes I know I'm kind of vague, but it's hard to explain.
My daughter says it's the ball and socket area of the hip, which I find deeply depressing.
The hands, wrists, elbows, neck, shoulders, lower back and feet are enough thanks at the moment.
I have tried stretches and exercises but find I am in bits the next day and my back absolutely kills me.
GP has said to lose weight but I am finding this v v v difficult.
Have had to resort to joint pain tablets this winter but am trying Honegar.
Has anyone had a go with this? Tastes vile but if it helps I dont care.
Also can anyone recommend Artrosilium cream?
I know of a lady who finds it helpful but the internet slates it as rubbish. Has anyone tried it?
Kindest regards to all, roll on the warmer weather
xxx

    Hi gennyf147,

The Helplines Team responded to a query about atrosilium recently (see below). I have forwarded your query re honegar to them.

    Hi
Oh yes, we have indeed come across Artrosilium. It is one of the many 'miracles' on the market but as far as we are concerned it comes under the 'unproven remedies' category.
    Best wishes

    Hi Genny

Honegar is a version of cider vinegar. This is a really old fashioned idea which also comes under the 'unproven remedies' category.

I was reading your posting about your exercises and thinking that a referral from your GP to a physiotherapist might be helpful. They would design an exercise programme with you so you know you are doing the right exercises.

    Best wishes
