Hi everyone I have been on Sulpha now for about 6 weeks (I have seronegative rhematoid arthritis) and I have been getting very bad dry skin, does anyone else suffer from this? what do you use to stop your skin from getting so dry? I have been using aqeous cream but my skin feels really dry again about an hour after putting it on, any suggestions would be welcome, thanks Kirsty xxxxxxxxx[/quote]

hi, i'm having the same problem since starting leflunamide, i always used aquioous cream but i to found it didn't help.
i spoke to the chemist about it and she told me to try Lotil cream on my hands which are really dry and it is fab! quite expensive but it has helped so much!
    hope this helps!

I have skin that's so dry, it cracks and bleeds. A dermatologist prescribed my dermol. I've tried a lot of creams and it's, by far, the best. I don't think you need a prescription for it.

    Hi
I have found this since having my sulpha increase. I came out in a rash and dry skin esp on back of hands and knuckles. I was prescribed Dermol cream which helped a bit but didnt really solve it. you can use this to wash hands in too. Dermol has been the best I have tried so far.
Also, today I have started using E45 hand cream, so far so good!

Another suggestion is to try vitamin E cream. It's really good and you can get it from the Body Shop.

Hi - I've been having trouble with dry skin for the first time lately despite being on Sulfa for a few years so not sure if my dry skin's the same as yours. It was quite bad, though, cracking and bleeding, and it wasn't responding to anything until I tried some Neutrogena concentrated hand cream suggested by the woman at the till at Boots. One application and my skin was almost completely better overnight. Good luck.
