If cocodomol 30/500gm x 8 a day are not working you could try tramadol which has a different approach. The pain is still there but you dont care. Failing that ask for acupunture which is now practiced by physiotherapists. I does work

Sorry to hear you're having a tough time with pain at the moment. Non If your pain is not well controlled it would be worth getting an appointment with your GP to see if he/she can prescribe something stronger or an alternative kind of pain relief. I'm thinking NSAID's or something like that which he/she can also prescribe.
As Tony says acupuncture can also help, I've had it regularly from my great Physio at the hospital. You can get a referral from your GP.
Hope your pain eases soon, good luck. rita

I'm in a similar boat and am really struggling at the minute. I'm back at the hospital next week and hopefully will be getting a new steroid jab to help me get about a bit easier.

I've found that as the painkillers get more effective on the pain, thet're also more affective on the head. As a result I can't concentrate at work at all. After 2 years I've now pretty much given up all hope of ever being pain free again and am starting to wonder how, at 31, I'm going to get through the rest of this life.

Sorry for the pessimism, but that's just where constant pain gets you I guess. I hope for your sake you get the pain control and can still function as a human being.

    Hi Kyrun

There are oads of other options....

Non medications like tens, haet or ice.

Then there's tramadol (already mentioned), patches Morphine, anti-inflams, to name but a few.

Do tehy have a pain clinic your way?? taht might be the best idea because pain is their job :)

Hope it eases for you soon

    Love

Just wonder wether you are on any anti-inflammatories? I find that along with Ibuprefen when I am going to overdo things, they control my pain very well worth asking your GP if you are not already taking anything
