Hi Tandell
I am so sorry you have had to go through all this, then suddenly being told you have RA, This sounds so like my story, I am still having blood test for RA, and I am having different results coming back.
I do hope you get the right treatment now, and see some improvement very soon.
You take care,
Barbara xxLove

Hi Tandel
I can imagine you are in shock. I am so sorry. Similar happened to me, for years always diagnosed with OA in knees and hands. I saw a knee surgeon in 2005 and he wanted me to have bloods taken for RA to make sure as he had a slight doubt. The result came back positive. I went to my GP and burst out crying asking why for years I had always been diagnosed by him and consultants with OA . He was most apologetic and said that my symptoms had always pointed to OA. I was referred to a rheumi and on aspirating fluid from my knee he said I did not have RA, the fluid aspirated was not the correct colour. The diagnosis for OA had been correct all along.
Blood tests are not always accurate for a diagnosis for RA as I found out. Could it possibly be the same for you too?
I do hope that tomorrow is a better day for you, I really do.
Luv

Hi Tandell,
That's a horrible way to find out and I hope now you are being referred to a rumo? Its amazing they 'forgot' to tell you but they also 'forgot' to treat you as well and I hope that its soon treated properly and you start to feel better. Cris x0 -
Hi Tandel, it beggers belief they forgot to tell you. I hope they referred you to a rhematologist as Cris said. If it were me I would write to the practice manager asking for an explanation. I hope you get the treatment you need.

Its bizarre isn't it - no idea how bad it is otherwise they wouldnt just 'forget'!
I first suffered from the age of about 15 but it was shrugged off really so I suffered in silence - then when I was 22, I was having real problems with my right wrist. I had test after test until eventually I took myself to accident and emerg where they whipped me in quick as a flash and fused my wrist because it had gone to far to do anything else with!! Still no diagnosis until 2 years ago when I was 36!!!!!!!!!!!!! xx0 -
they need slapping but must admit they do not like to give names or so it seems. i hope they have given you meds you need and that they get it under controllval0
