it has been nice here the last few days and we thought we go out and get a bit of fresh air, anyway when we arrived to where we was going by car that is we had a nice walk anyway i sat in the car and thought yeah should be able to do that, and guess what i payed for it later had to have a soak in the bath and its only thing that really seems to help i thought how silly i had been as i had my scooter in the boot of the car and did not use it, when will i ever learn lol

I'm guilty too but sometimes even when I know I'm going to pay I go ahead and do it anyhow. Hope you feel a good bit better tomorrow.

Guilty I'm afraid, I keep trying to do my garden, I keep giving in but I am not ready to give up on it.
Then there is the walking, I used to walk miles, not any more, but when the weather is nice I do tend to over do it, and then suffer .
But like someone said it is the fighting spirit.
    You take care
    Barbara xx

Guilty here too, its been lovely where I am today so hubby and I picked the boys up from school and took them straight to the local playground and woods... I promised Id just sit and watch but ended up going for a stroll up through the woods and Im feeling it start already now. I was having such a good day, the pains were easier today and I had to push it.....

I know Im going to suffer tomorrow but it was worth it to see my boys faces when they came out of school knowing we were going out :D

I aint gonna let it beat me thats for sure!

I always feel guilty if I don't do anything! Perhaps its a bit of embarrassment or shame, I dunno but if my husband says lets go walking, I do, and I keep up with him, don't moan, then suffer big time the day after, again, in silence! How silly is that?? xx

    Hi Sylvia,

I'm green with jealousy! That's the one thing I would REALLY, REALLY ask for if I had a magic lamp with a genie in it ................ to sit in a bath of lovely, warm, soapy water ....... oh, what bliss it must be. I can get in the damned thing if I slide down the back but we'd need the fire brigade to get me out. Showers are not the same.

Fancy overdoing it! We all do it .... we never learn, do we.
Hope you'll feel a bit better quickly.
Loved the little face ..... is it saying 'Ow, Ow, Ow'?

    Hi Sylvia

My brain often says you can do it and it's my body that lets me down when I OVERDO it!! I had my first TKR 4 weeks ago. I've had a bad week this week and was unable to do a thing in the house. Today I felt so much brighter and did a wee bit of tidying up; had a shower; made an apple pie; beef stew and a pasta bake for tomorrow - now I'm shattered!!! OH is working in Norwich today - he'll tell me off when he gets in for doing too much. It just feels fabulous to achieve something even though I'm tired now. It's the most I've done in ages. He'll thank me for the beef stew when he comes home though!!:lol:

We are our own worse enemies sometimes!!!!

Yes - seems a common story .... it's so easy to overdo it and then end up paying ...

Thinking of all those peeps out there who have overdone it today and are now paying ...

I was in that club yesterday evening.

I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.
