    Hi Deborah

Arthrits can make you feel tired and I think you are wise to rest when you get home. You must need it. If often have a little rest in the afternoon. I suffer from dry eyes too - I seem to have weeks when they're really bad and then stretches when they are fine. I use hypermellulose eye drops and simple eye ointment at night.
You can also get an eye gel which is really good too. Your dry eyes will make you feel tired.

See you GP if you are worried. What type of arthritis do you have and where?

    Regards

    Hi Deborah
Definately try the hypromellose drops, they are like natural tears and do help.
I can drop off in the daytime and have to have a nap in bed, around this time of day, 4-5pm, otherwise I would keel over. My OH forbids me from napping in a chair, otherwise I need two strong men and wheelbarrow to get me moving again  Arthur does make you tired and weary, often from pain, or side effects of medication.
Take care and rest when you can xx Bubbles.

Deborahjane, sounds like your body needs it. Listen to your body - having a nap probably makes you more able to get on with life for the rest of the day.
I could nod off anytime during the day if I had the chance - struggling, meds and lack of sleep at night all add up. Don't often get the chance - but if I do, I feel better after.

I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.
