I have been exhausted this week on tuesday i did some work and was so tired by 1130 in morning i decided to take a nap. It was only ment to be a short nap but my wrists hurt and my legs so much i took pain killers rested and fell asleep. I had the cutains shut and little light on. At 2pm in the afternoon i woke to the sound of a ladder and swish swish of windows being wiped. The door bell rand shortly after and i emerged hair mess at the door.
"Hello how are you?" window cleaner
" ok thanks"me not saying much as dont what a conversation as i am tired. And dont say anything about condition as i just get on with it and non of anyones business they wouldnt understand any way.
I give him the money he looks confused and puzzled
he says thanks and seems to think before he says the next thing "familyok"
yes were all fine
He looks confused and says bye
It looks bad 2 in afternoon hair mess ect and im 39 and dont look ill but i dont have to expain my condition to everyone else and people dont realise how we have to live what we have to put up with but i felt he would have got wrong impression and i allways say im ok when im not if im bad with ra if its a cold ill tell anyone everyone undestands normal ailments.
now the window cleaner may think 1 im lazy 2 got a man in 3 ill but he carnt understand why im lieing or not telling him or something else. joanne

Don't worry Joanne, it happens to most, if not all of us I am sure. I was woken by the phone this morning, which is never a good idea, coming round from medication, dry mouth, joints set like stone, I must have sounded like I was not on this planet. In the end my OH had to call the person back, as I could not recall what was said and why..........One has to come round slowly in a morning. I don't apologise for it, people can think what they like, if they think I am babbling and incoherent at 9 in the morning, then they are right

    Hi Suncatcher,

When you see him next time hopefully you'll be feeling a bit better and you will be able to explain that there are times when you don't feel up to smiling or talking and that you are sorry for those times when you might be a misery guts and I am sure he will understand.

You could then feel free to carry on hurting and not being very sociable, this is what I do, I apologise first and then well its up to whoever to think whatever,

On the serious side he might have been worried about you and wanted to make sure you were ok?

    Hope you're feeling better.

    Hi Joanne

I take it that this window cleaner has been doing your windows for some time. Usually they would probably take the money and run! I think he was being genuine enquiring after you and our family. I hope you feel better soon.

    Luv

The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.

If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.

Hi I'm sure your window cleaner will understand and I don't see why you need to explain, unless you want to. He may have thought you had a headache or cold or something. Even if he guessed you were asleep he must catch people out quite often.
