Humira throughout pregnancy?

Hi,
I have just found out that I am pregnant (very early though), however I started on Humira 2 months ago. I know the official line is do not conceive whilst on Humira, but also aware that this may be due to lack of information. I was just wondering, does anyone have experience of conceiving whilst on Humira? Did you stop it? Did anyone take it throughout their pregnancy?
Any experiences or views welcomed.

I would stop it now until you get advice from GP or rheummy.Same with Methotexate if you are taking that.
Do go and see your GP/ Rheumatologist and do leave a message with the rheumatology department immediately so they contact you soon.
They should advise you.Let us know how you get on please

Hi Diddymand,
A welcome from me as well, tis a good site this. I think I would also stop taking it and phone the Rumo asap for advice. Keep in touch with us and fingers crossed you will get some advice very soon. Nice to meet you, Cris0 -
First, thanks so much for your lovely welcome.
I think I know what my rheumatologist will say as they were aware I was trying to conceive and basically said that whilst they can't advise it, they use it with IVF and feel free to research it... However I got the impression that the rheumatology nurse didn't feel quite so ok with it so I feel I would like to be armed with as much information as possible before speaking with them/making a decision. :?
I am sure they would be supportive either way but have only just got a flare up under control with prednisolone and Humira and am obviously a bit reluctant to go back to my recent state.
What do you think?

Hi Amanda
I could never advise you on a subject as delicate as this although I would gladly listen. I am sure when you have talked to the medics and got their points of view and if it is left to you to make the final decision I am sure you will make the one that feels most comfortable for you and your babe.
Congratulations to you. A baby is such a precious gift and I wish you both well.
Do let us know what you decide and how you are going on.

Hi Amanda, was wondering how you were? as this subject caught my eye for personal reasons. My dp and I decided to for him to get sterilised as my only option was humira and was told I couldn't get pregnant on it and my condition being as bad as it was, I needed to make some tough decisions and priorities. Just wondered if your consultant is being supportive? Tam xEnergy is eternal delight.
