Hi Lizzie
Yes we do
When this is happening to me I take a wet flannel to bed with me and wipe them over till the amitriptyline makes me fall to sleep.
Not very nice at all is it.
You take care

I get this too and my goodness, it's painful. :? I have no helpful suggestions, although sometimes it's soothing to rub moisturiser into my feet.0

Hi Lizzie,
I haven't had it in my feet but I used to get it in my hands during the night in the very beginning of having RA. I used to have to put my hands on top of the covers to try to cool them down but my arms used to get cold because it was winter.
I don't think there's anything much you can do about it, just hope it settles down, mine are fine now. You could always mention it to your Rheumy if it's keeping you awake.

I had this problem over Xmas. Rheumy told me to either plunge my feet in ice cold water or wrap a bag of frozen peas in a dishcloth and place my feet on them.
I'm not very good with extreme temperatures so plumped for the latter! It's important to get the temperature down in your feet....apparently!

i have burning feet but tends to be all over my feet and it can sometimes be in my hands as well. i can't stand being cold so i use a hot water bottle ( with hot water!) and that seems to do the trick.

The burning sensation you speak of is quite common for me too.
My partner is like a hot water bottle, if she snuggles close at night I get very hot and have found my problem joints (including feet) get much worse.
So far I have just made an effort to cool off generally (despite protests from the princess) but I might try ice packs as recommended in previous replies.
So it sounds like temperature is the key.
I've learned loads of useful tips from this forum in the last couple of days, thanks everybody!
Good luck with the sore feet.
