Ive today posted my Housing Application to try to move closer to my family who live in a little village on the other side of town. Its about 6 miles away but trying to get through a busy town center to drop the boys off for babysitting while I go to medical appointments and physio sessions is becoming a nightmare and my mum has to get 2 buses to pick my sons up from school at times. I have generalized OA in pretty much every joint.

Ive given them all the supporting medical documents they have requested and letters from all my immediate family offering their support with babysitting or helping around the home.

I should find out in 10 days if we've been accepted and in what level of urgency to move they have placed us....

It'd really lift my depression to be closer to my family. My husband is wonderful but having my family 10 minutes away would be such a relief. We're very close and I'd have my parents, 3 brothers, my sister and all our kids (13 of them) all living in the same village.

Im keeping my fingers crossed!! It'd really help cope with the OA. Wish me luck... :)

I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.

Thank you so so much for your kind words of support. I will of course let you know how we get on, fingers, toes and everything crossed here!! :D

It would be a huge relief to be close to my family. Like I said, my husband is a wonderful man who supports me no end, helps with the children and doesn't complain if I havent lifted a finger some days but it'd be perfect to have my sisters and parents around too - even just for company and a coffee sometimes! :D

Will let you know when I have any news and thank you again xx
