yep that me just ironed clothes for work had something in my hand when decided to take ironing board down. yes you can guess what ? i left two fingers in as it closed just spent 5 min with them under cold tap but have managed to trap nails in the **** thing ouch :oops: :oops: :roll: :roll: :cry::cry: can nto make up my mind wether to be sick take pain meds or cry lol might do them all at once save deciding getting hot now better get dressed then get the ice out will let you know if manage to loose my nail lol

    Ouch Val you poor thing..I think you should keep the ice on for a while...These horrible contraction..I am sure they are made for this purpose in mind :roll:

    Poor you Val. I did shut my fingers in the front door once and felt okay until walked up the drive and everything wet black and I was fainting.Had to get back in the house quick.

    I would sit for a while to get your breath back and to make sure you are not going to faint too......a cuppa if you can manage it.

    well it got to be not trailing to hospital they would put needle through nail yuk. caught it just at base of nail so much fun and now typing left handed lol

    Oh Val. Poor you.
    I bought one of thos contraptions, some time ago now, from a big store begins with Wi, no not Wo. I didn't realise it when I first let the thing down, cut my fingers open across on a razor sharp edge underneath the contraption. Took the thing back and complained to them. Got my money back and a voucher for about £20. This was over 10 years ago. Didn't stop them selling them though.

    Hope you recover soon.

    Ouch Val i hope your ok now.
    I did something similar today.
    OH decided that we needed to clean up garden furniture as it been sitting down the side of the sheds.
    I got my finger stuck in a groove & bent my nail right back(Im always doing it :roll:) so thts gonna go black n horrible :shock:
    I loved my long nails but Arthrs robbing me of them with me useless hands.

    Sorry to see that, hope you don't need it needling to relieve the pressure. It is quite interesting watching the bruise finally grow out if you have clobbered it at the base of the nail. Takes ages!
    I once left my thumb in the door as I got out of a taxi. :oops: Then sat in silence with it pounding away through a job interview. AND I was offered the job :D
    Hope it not too painful for you tonight, and good excuse to make someone else do the ironing in future!

    ouch made me shudder hope it ok . do your nails bend some of mine do as they grow not sure why can not remember when it started but even when quite short index and middle on left hand(am right handed) i know i am strange

    maybe it is the week for this kind of thing :roll: cos last night I managed to peel my thumb rather than the beetroot I was holding :shock: :shock: :shock: now I have a cut down my nail, together with a lovely cut to the top of my finger.

    We will be able to swap notes on how our fingers and nails heal :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:


    seriously, I hope it doesn't hurt too much today, and that it gets better soon.

    hi the ice did its job still sore (only a little) but the bruise that came straight up has gone not sure how nails will grow as it was base of nails lol . if you had seen them when did it they were sqashed flat at base of nails but look normal now hard to belive .
    have done that with peeler my self when doing carrots
