As you know I have had a flare and it has now gone to my other hand so got wrist splint on. What I want to ask is this morning when I got up I was very itchy and warm all over my body. I try not to scratch so when I rub my arms or leg when itchy I get tiny red blister like spots after about 10 mins they calm down again and leave a small red patch of skin like sunburn ( thats the only way I can describe it) only to return if I rub or scratch the itch. It doesnt matter where itch is whenever I rub it it comes out in tiny red blisters. Anyone else had this type of thing happen. Have doctors tomorrow so trying to hold out till then.

Did this happen before you started wearing the splints? If no, then it might be an allergic reaction to them.

If yes, then I'm stumped but hopefully someone else might know!

have'nt change meds still on same ones, maybe I been on them to long. Started before splint and have worn splints before with no reaction. Its the itchiness thats worse. Might put some calomine lotion on when I get home from work.

    Hi Issy

I had an allergy at one point which did something like that. Mmmm... it happened when I scratched or any area was under pressure in the end (like under bra straps).

Can you make it happen anywhere on your body??

If you can it could well be an allergy.
When the raised lumps went down they left red marks (big areas my lumps werre BIG  ) and the next day or so they looked like bruises.

If it is like this you should prob see the doc as you might need antihistamines. In the end I looked LOVELY my lips swlled too and my eyes and oh well almost everything :wink: Had steroid jabs too before it went away. and pred.

I was on nothing then - in fact I never found out what set it off :(

I hope I havent worried you too much as I am fine, but I wasnt half itchy

    Love

Yea Toni bit like that seems to be everywhere it happens when blister goes down mark about size of 5p. It just happens 30 minutes I'm fine then next I want to scratch my whole body. Seems itchiest on neck line , back, top of legs, front of legs, elbows and fleshy part of hands. Trying my hardest to stay in control of it as dont want to go off sick only got another 3 hours of work. If it does seem to get worse then might take a trip up A & E tonight if cant get no luck with out of duty doctor. Just wondered if anyone else had anything like this. Glad to hear you have so will try and not worry to much about it. Just wish the itchiness would go away and annoy some other person dont it realise I have enough with my wrist flare up to have this annoying me.

    Hi

This sounds like eczema - my husband suffers from this and what you describe sounds very similar. Mind you some meds make you itch. Are you on any co meds?

Your GP will be able to tell you for sure. Try not to scratch - the more you scratch the more you itch. Aqueous cream (use lanolin free - Boots product the best) will help to relieve the skin.

Hi Sharmaine going docs this afternoon so will mention it to her. I thought eczema was dry itchy skin all the time didnt know it can just erupt. Wondered if maybe been on meds to long will see what doctor says.
    Thanks Issy

ps really hard not to scratch but doing pretty good rubbing if gets to much otherwise I will be covered in scratches bloody hard though.
