Please can anyone tell me if they suffer from pins and needles in arm/hand during the night, I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia 2 years ago and things have become a lot worse since then,my doctor ordered blood tests as I was very breathless and when the results came back my plasma viscosity level was really high so she said she does not think it is fibro and will get me another rheumy appointment, I wont list all my aches and pains cause you would probably die of boredom, Jan :)

I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.

    Hi Jan,
I am also new to the forum joined today!

My mum also suffers from fibromyalgia, and was recently diagnosed with Erythromelalgia. Im not sure if i can help with your problem, but i do know she experiences a constant burning sensation alongside pins & needles in her feet!!
I was wondering if having potentially suffered from Fibromyalgia for two years you know any home remedies or advice on how to ease my mums pain??

    Many Thanks Jennifer :)

Hi & welcome to the forum, sorry though that you had to find us.
I have OA & Fibro. I get constant pins & needles in my fingers, nerve pain in my spine, wrist & now i have problems with my achilles heel.
I take Gabapentin for the nerve pain Plus all the normal pain killers & amptripyline for sleeping.
The only thing i find that helps is a hot bath, as hot as you can bear.
But the relief is short lived when you get out.
Im changing to Pregabalin as soon as i can get out to the gp.

Take care & hope to see you around the forums.

Thank you for the welcome, in reply to Jennifer7 I haven't found anything that helps I'm afraid but I have never really believed that I have fibro because I have always had a low level of inflamation in my blood tests and fibro doesn't have inflamation,my doctor has now said that she questions the diagnosis, thank god, :)

    Hi Jan :)

Welcome to the forum. Hope to see you posting more. Pins and needles can be caused by trapped nerves. I hope you get another rheumi appointment soon. We do not mind at all if you list all you aches and pains. That is what we are here for, to listen, try to help and sympathise.

    Look after yourself,

    Luv
