hello everyone,
i'm new here but it looks like a very useful forum for confused ra sufferers.
i would appreceite any info on starting enbrel while still injecting 20mg mx at the same time. Rheumy says to keep in the mx as it works better but i feel sick with just the mx so i am not sure what to expect when i add in the new drug. i am going to have it via the click pen device and have heard that it nips. is it any worse than the nip you get with mx.
i also have to take folic acid every day except mx day (wed) because of the side effects of the mx.
Hope someone can help.
Thanks
Loobie

Hi Loobie! welcome to the forum.
I was on Mtx and Enbrel combo but unfortunately had to stop the Enbrel due to a reaction (rash and drop in WBC)
I was really sorry to have to come off the Enbrel as it was wonderfully quick and effective in reducing the symptoms of arther! The injection is easy to administer and not at all painful (at least that was my experience).
Good luck and I hope you find it helps you.!

Hi Iris,
Thank you for your reply. i am sorry you were unable to tolerate the Enbrel, i am trying not to get my hopes up too much as, for the past 4 years, nothing has helped much with this awful disease. You put my mind at ease by telling me the jab isn't painfull, that's one less thing to worry about.

I wish i had found this place a while ago when i was first diagnosed. it would have been such a help just to know your not alone.
