Hi everyone and a very Happy Easter! Have only just come back on so not up to speed yet but thought I'd give you a little update. Am still in one piece, sat with my foot up on a cushion with a brew! Have stayed at mum and dad's for a few days but am back home now. As far as I know all went well (haven't been told otherwise! ) but I have to wait another 2 weeks before my first follow up appointment. It was extremely painful at first which was a bit of an unpleasant shock but the staff were lovely and I was discharged the next day. Your posts before I went in really did help - thankyou so much for your support. Hope everyone is keeping well.

    Hi Josie,

so glad you're home and that the op went well. :D

take it easy and allow everyone to look after you...you'll heal all the quicker. :!:

keep taking the pain killers regularly though so that the intense pain doesn't sneak through. :?

great to see you posting.

I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.

    Hiya Josie :D

Thanks so much for letting us know the latest. Pleased to hear you have been looked after for a few days at your mum and dads but it is always nice to be back in your own home, isn't it? :)

At least you knew you would be discharged the next day so that did not come as a shock to you

Look forward to hearing from you again,

    Luv

Hi everyone, hope you are all lucky enough to have a nice sunny day like it is here! Am now officially very bored , not helped by the fact that I have no patience for things like this I have realised - must go about developing some! Have had visits from friends and colleagues though which is lovely and so many flowers have had to borrow vases! Hope all is well with everyone, love Josie x

    Hi Josie :D

Brill to hear from you. Who's a very popular girl then? It is lovely when you know people care about you, isn't it? Lovely weather here, why not sit in the sunshine/shade and read a book, listen to ipod or write a letter or card to someone?:D My SIL is like you, she has had a week off work and is painting/decorating the spare room at the mo, and gets most agitated wondering what to do next, not to waste a moment, while the paint is drying before being able to get going in there, again. She does not read, relax, sit down for long, goodness knows how she will survive retirement when that arrives for her in a few years time!!

You will soon be rushing around! :)
