Groups in Newcastle upon Tyne

Hi to all the Gang, I was wondering is their a group in or near Newcastle Upon Tyne. As I would like to be able to do some volunteer work or help in any way I can. I seem to be just rotting away here and its getting me down. I am sure I could help or assist in some way. All ideas please.

    Hi Handsy...there is a group just don't know the details off hand but i have seen their poster in the Freeman...(i've memorised all the posters after 12 years ) :roll:

    I'll see if i've written it down anywhere & get back to you ...i think they meet in Gosforth, it stuck in my head because thats where I live
