    Hi Sylvia

I know if you hold down the ALT key and press print screen, you can then paste into a Word document what the current screen is.

Insert is the key where, if you press it, it will allow you to overtype things rather than push characters along. Then you press it again to take it off.

Hoping someone else will answer the other two!

i'm usually quite technically savvy but i've just changed from a PC to a Mac and I don't understand what half the symbols on the keys mean they don't even have words on them so i can't even describe them to you to ask....small sun ? postcard ? temperature gauge ? snakes fighting ?

    I absolutely love it

I still use a PC at work so switching between can be a bit of a pain as things are very slightly different and sometimes I forget. However i use them both a huge amount - nature of the job, it often comes home and they work together fine - I could run virtual pc on the mac but i haven't had the need yet.

Its very intuitive, i've had no problems with it at all, setting it up was dead easy, the keyboard is really good and its beautiful too :D

The main annoyances are the touch pad - takes a bit of getting used to and doesn't always do what you want it to
and the need to buy Mac software,

I used macs years ago when I first started work and to be honest the gap has narrowed - I think PC's have upped their game over the years (it used to be that graphics programmes were far superior on Macs thats why us creative types liked them)....but the Macs still have the advantages that they don't run Windows....which is great till it decides it has some random problem and crashes and now it they run stuff like word which makes compatibility much less of a problem

My hubby got windows 7 at the same time as i got my mac....i've had to do nothing, he's had to reload the operating system 3 times sorting out bugs in the system...nuff said

sorry i could go on on this subject all night

Firstly, there is no such thing as a Microsoft computer, they are called PCs as opposed to Macs. Microsoft programs/sells Operating Systems and other software that run on other manufacturer's PCs.

The number of computers as of March 2010 that run different Operating Systems are:
    88.1 % Microsoft Windows
    6.9 % Macintosh OS
    4.5 % Linux
    http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_os.asp

'PCs versus Macs' is one of those perennial things that have been long debated by computer users. Both have their good and bad points and if I listed them here it would fill several pages. Ultimately, people vote for computers with what they buy and the current balance of 88% versus 7% speaks for itself.
