hello

I had to phone the police again last night at 12am, teenager daughter next door was playing her music really loudly, :x :x   :x :x this has been going on since last year, i complained to the council and they are aware of it all, and said always phone the police, so thats just what i did :):) and while i was back in bed trying to settle to sleep again as my knees and hip was hurting i heard a car pull up, 2 doors shut and then a knock on my neighbours house, and what i heard was a very quiet deep policemans voice, quite a strange deep voice the sort of voice you would not forget, know what mean, anyway i heard a door slam and music went off and followed by 2 bursts of loud music and it went quiet, then stamping or thats what it sounded like and i thought, oh year you little madam you didnt like that did you :) and then finnally quiet for the rest of the night and i did get back to sleep, but i having to sit with my feet up as arthur bugging me, that i can life with not little madams like her next door.

I only had this problem once but when I turned my speakers to the adjoining wall and cranked the bass up to max the sound of ornaments falling off the shelves because of the vibration soon put a stop to it.

I assume you're keeping a diary as the council will need this when they decide it's time to put a stop to it once and for all.
oh yeah definatly hubby writes every thing on calendar which i thought was an anoying habit, but now i can see why he does, he quite the opsite to me i will put up with a lot but him he just says what he thinks

    Good for you :!: :D

you've put up with it long enough...and they were warned.

may be now you'll get peace at night and if you don't and have to call the police again...so be it! The police will soon get fed up with them too and they can charge them with a Breach of the Peace if they have witnessed the noise (?) for themselves or if the neighbour gets bolshie.

People are so self centred these days all she needs to do is use head phones and she could give herself tinitus without upsetting everyone around her.
Oh just got back from shopping, been to the local farmers market, got some fresh bread and honey comb, I just had a bit and by heck it took me back to when I was a kid, absolute heaven!.

    Hi Sylvia,
It is so fustrating isnt it.I must say my neighbours have been much quieter this week in fact I cant hear anything so maybe they have gone away!
The peeps behind us are annoying at the moment so I am concentrating on them.Everytime my kids come out in garden they appear. They do try to upset my youngest son by making noises that upset him.He cant ignore them unfortunately.
That is one reason we are taking him out a lot this holiday to get away from them.Sometimes i feel a prisoner in my own home as have to encourage him to stay inside as much as possible to avoid them or get him taken out for the day away from here.

too right but i need my peace and quiet so if i have to phone the police then i do that, got the police number programed into my phone so i just have to retrieve it from the phone book on the phone and i got it at my finger tips.

i bet you have to plan these trips out, we both know what works and how to do it, people are so selfish are they not, makes me appricate what a good job i'm doing with my son

we love our neighbours...but their children can be a little 'enthusiastic' shall we say lol....the youngest would give a herd of elephants a run for their money, can't wait for them to become teenagers
So just under 2 years ago we got the ultimate revenge....we had one of our own....apparently his limited vocabulary of HiYa shouted from the bottom of the stairs can be heard quiet clearly through the wall
The otherside however must be either very very polite or stone deaf because they swear they can't hear a thing, oh the joys of city living, after growing up in isolated country life its all been a bit of a shock to me.

hope you get your noisy neighbour troubles sorted

When we had noisy neighbours they came in our house and put this sound level on the wall to measure the volume.

They told us it was far above the noise you are allowed. They told us nor to do anything else and they also said they would be coming back.

Well, they came back and measured the volume level again then we heard their bell ring. The music went off. As soon as they left it went back on.

They had not gone away only around the block. They came back to loud music and people.

I don't know exactly happend but we never heard their music again.

hi i went to the police station about this yesterday and he advised me to talk to my neighbour and last night at 9.50 pm she sent her daughter round and she said the police did not come round and also said she was not at home that night, what a lie a right whopper i think, so i phoned the police station and they said that they had been round so just shows you what sort of people are living next door dont it.
