I have just been looking at the website for Aldi (probably get into trouble for naming) and they have all sorts of aids on offer starting on Thursday. they have walking frames but they also have Safety Can Opener/Ring Pull/Bottle Top Opener/Key Aid, show horns etc all very reasonably priced.

I usually find with the weekly specials you have to get there early to get them so I thought I would give everyone a heads up!!

I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.

:D dont forget you can get these things totally free from your ot/physio (For walking aids) just get your rheumy to refer you the first time then you can just phone /drop in in future
things like seats, walkers sticks and crutches there are specific ways to use them and sticks should be the correct height- i see so many people with incorrect walking sticks..it cant be comfy!

Hi, I wish I'd bought the ring pull can opener a long time ago! I've always struggled with these things and often either broken them, hurt my hands or just given up. Also the jar opener is great. My husband saw these things on the internet and bought them for me. Not romantic but much more useful and apprciated!
