does anyone else experince this, and do they give in or just keep fighting arthur, i wish arthur would go and bother someone else and give me a break

    Hi Sylvia,
I haven't experienced the same sensation in my knees - I just get pain and aching in mine - and that is just the one knee.

I think there is a fine line between fighting the arther and listening to your body. If you stop in time, then your body recovers after a rest or by the next day ... if you don't you risk it flaring up ...
Make sure you put your feet up now, a bit of the old RICE treatment might help .. (rest, ice, compression, elevate.)

Did you get some good bargains in Lidl?!!

I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.

yeah hubby was getting fed up with our carpet in the living room as its well worn and as we got lots of moving things around he thought it would be a good idea to get these hallway mats you can get with rubber edges i think that's what they are anyway 9.99 put them down well he did most of it i helped a little only what i could manage and now its looks much better put a total of 4 down and it looks much better, and safer, funny really well you know what i mean did not do alot but now i feel very tired could go off to bed but got to go and collect son in about 30 minutes so i settle down for the night then that will be that, i'm the only car driver in the family so some things just have to be done, bet i pay for it but still nothing new cant let athur win.

dont like violence enough of it in the world, but imagine this....... us all standing or sitting which ever best for us and arthritis standing blind folded and us having target practice and screaming down with arthur ready girls aim and fire at will, that would be nice ....... :D:D:D:D:D oh well a girl can dream hey

    hi sylvia,

to get the best out of us, we're supposed to do 50-75% of what our body can do, then stop and rest, then do the next lot of 50-75%, which may be lesnow, as you've done one lot of activity.

if you can pace in this manner, you may get more done, then if you tried to finish the job you had started. so if you need to walk, you need to plan to stop well before you need the rest.

pls try this, as i hope it will help you

i used to get those feelings and more when i was at work till i could do it no more as it was taking longer and longer to setttle down ,i still get it but try and remember my limits and crutches have realy helped as they take the strain if you know what i mean , hot and cold packs worked wonders for me , pacing your self is very important i hope yours is easying up a bit with rest xx
I know i am a lady ,all life is a journey xx MAY xx
