hi all I have RA and take MTX and steroids etc, we were talking at work about the benefits of omega 3 oils for helping children concentrate and aid learning. It was also mentioned about the anti infammatory effects it can have on joints. I started taking high strength cod liver oil capsules for just over a week now and I certainly feel the benefit. I hope it is the capsules and not me feeling suddenly better but because of taking steroids etc have felt that supplements could not possibly work .I hope i have been proved wrong. Try them and see if they help you i hope so
best wishes sarah

Hi Sarah, glad you are feeling a lot better. Different things work for different folks. Time will tell.
Now personally I swear by cabbage leaves to help my knees ... (I have OA not RA.)
SpeedalongI have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.0 -

I was given some high strength Omega 3 fish oil capsules, along with Alfalfa tablets, by a friend who runs a health food shop.....
Been on them for about a month now.............Things have definately improved in that time.....
My hands and wrists are now as they were 2 years ago..........no noticable swelling...............
Is it this 'extra' help???....I've no idea............but as long as it seems to be working, I'll continue with them...
