Agitation, Irritation, Frustration. Can be called all of these things Liz, but at the end of the day, it`s just a label to cover what we feel.

No matter how many times we say that we won`t be fooled by the better days, we inevitably are. Then when old Arthur rears his ugly head again, we feel let down.

It`s a vicious circle, because we need the good times, to help get us through when the bad ones are so very bad.

Here`s a hope that this recent flare, will soon be history.......Ange.

    Hi Liz

reckon I am always agitated  Serioulsy though...I do feel down some days for no real reason (when I am well for instance) so maybe it is the arthritis and not me being mad

    Maybe not

    Love

    Hi there

Reading your post, you appear to be reacting as anyone would who has been well and able to get on with their lives for a while and then, whatever it is, visits again or makes an appearance. It can and does throw one backwards and sideways in an alarming way or not so, depending on how severe the appearance may be. We have to learn, difficult though it is, to take the good with the bad and hope the good outweighs the bad most of the time. We have to have back up plans too.

It is good to have a scream every now and again.

I hope you soon feel better.

    Luv

The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.

If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.

Hi Liz, when my pain is worse and when I'm really tired I'm ratty too. I think being in pain lowers your tolerance and means things that would not usually bother you - or would even make you laugh -irritate you instead.

I think feeling unwell/tired makes most people irritable to some degree.

So no, it's not just you!!

I hope you feel better soon.

I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.

HI Sometimes I get really uptight about everything, and then I just want to run away, but the trouble is there's nowhere to go! So I just sit it out moan a bit, get cross over silly things and wait to feel more relaxed, which comes in the end!
