THUGS

I meant to say....when I went for my 6 week appt the consultant suggested I go to THUGS.....Its about 30 mins drive away and I havent driven that far since the op but hopefully will be able to by the time there next meeting is....I think its about a week from now.
Total Hip Replacement User Group......I think it will be interesting....as far as I know its the only one in the area...dont know if they have them anywhere else. It will be like this forum...talking to people who have been through it.
I'll let you know how it goes if I can manage to drive there the first meeting

    Hi,
    I had never heard of it before....My consultant said go and see them and gave me the number ...I think they must be just a one off group but it should be very interesting. Just hope I can feel confident driving that far. Its about 30 to 40 mins one way....Up to the minute the most I've driven since the op is aboput 15 - 20 mins one way and i've suffered the next day...but that doesnt matter...my poor muscles will have to get used to it LOL.

    It really does sound as though it's a good idea and it would be lOVELY to meet some others in the same boat I think.

    Give yourself extra time though for the journey.
